Because He has enabled belief and given the gift of faith, we can have complete confidence that He will also keep the redeemed sinner safe till the end. Rather, God will use the proximate means of our witnessing to sovereignly bring the sinner to Himself. It really is a great relief to know that the sinner's state is lovingly in the hands of God, and we don't have to feel guilt over not "doing a good enough job" in our evangelism. By so doing, we are carrying out the Great Commission, and have a wonderful assurance that God will lovingly bring the elect to Himself. Salvation is totally of God, and yet we are commanded to evangelize the lost. The sinner must sincerely chose Christ (from man's perspective), and yet when he does, he is simply carrying out God's predestined plan for him (God's perspective).
